Metro Hotel Myeongdong description

Established in 1960, Metro Hotel is the first government-registered tourist hotel that has been providing comfortable and convenient rooms for both international and domestic visitors. It is fully renovated in June of 2014 and now offers a modern fitness centre, a business centre and banquet facilities. Its prime location just a 3-minute walk from Euljiro 1-ga Subway Station (Line 2) provides easy access to landmarks and shopping areas in the heart of Seoul.

The carpeted rooms at Metro Hotel feature brightly painted walls with wooden furnishings. Each room is equipped with a flat screen TV with cable channels, a working desk and sizable mirrors. Private bathroom features a toilet with electronic bidet.

Free WiFi is accessible throughout Hotel Metro. The front desk will provide you with services such as a concierge service and private check-in/check-out. Adult guests can relax at the terrace and shared lounge areas while child guests play in children’s playroom.

Breakfast buffet is available at The Clubhouse located on the 9th floor from 7:00 to 10:00 at a fee. A variety of dining options is available within walking distance around the hotel.

Metro Hotel is located on Myeongdong Street and is a 10-mintue walk to the historical Namdaemun Market. Gimpo Airport is a 60-minute drive and Incheon Airport is an 85-minute drive away.

You can take bus 6015 from ICN to ibis Myeongdong hotel station. it's 3minutes from there. OR you can take AREX to the Seoul station and transfer to line number 2, then Ejljiro ipgu station.

Value for money for a group of travellers.
+ The location is great + front desk made an effort to arrange all 5 rooms on the same floor + common area at Level 2 for us to get together to enjoy Korean snacks + free-to-use massage chairs for our tired muscles
- rooms are small for twin sharing - mattress is too soft for my liking - pillow is too flat for my liking
